GENERAL GUIDELINES
✦ All applicants must be at least 18 years old✧ Sunrise celebrates the marital love between Bakugou Katsuki and Kirishima Eijirou, so creations must be KiriBaku-centric✦ The project will have a total of 8 Writers, 20 Page Artists, and 3-5 Merch Artists✧ You may apply for multiple roles, but you will only be chosen for one
ZINE SECTIONS
✦ We plan to divide Sunrise into four chronological sections — The Proposal, The Planning, The Ceremony, and The Reception — alongside its NSFW add-on Sunset, which will cover The Honeymoon✧ Each section will have 2 Writers and 5 Artists✦ Each section will ideally have 1 two-page comic, 2 single-page illustrations, and 2 collaborations between Writers and Page Artists✧ These collaborations can be either a page illustration accompanying the fic, or spot illustrations placed throughout the fic
SPECIFIC GUIDELINES
Page Artists and Merch Artists use the same form
WRITERS
✦ Writer Contributors will be expected to create at least one 2k - 3k fic for the main zine, with the opportunity to write additional pieces for the NSFW add-on✧ You will be given the opportunity to select which sections you have a preference towards in the application✦ Writer Applications will be evaluated on elements such as spelling & grammar, characterization, flow, and tone
WRITING PORTFOLIOS
✦ You must provide at least 2 sample pieces✧ Sample pieces must be between 1.5k and 3.5k in length✦ Excerpts are allowed, but at least ONE sample must be complete✧ Both SFW and NSFW pieces are allowed✦ Either Kirishima OR Bakugou must be featured in at least ONE of your samples✧ AO3 links are allowed, though Google Drive links are preferred✦ Formatting should be kept simple and legible
PAGE ARTISTS
✦ Page Artist Contributors will be expected to create EITHER a single-page illustration, a 2-page comic, or spot illustrations in collaboration with a writer✧ At least one piece must be created for the main zine, with the opportunity to create additional pieces for the NSFW add-on✦ You will be given the opportunity to select which sections you have a preference towards in the application✧ You must provide at least 3 sample pieces in your application✦ Either Kirishima OR Bakugou must be featured in at least ONE of your samples✧ At least ONE sample must demonstrate your ability to illustrate a background
MERCH ARTISTS
✦ Merch Artist Contributors will be expected to create 2-3 unique merch pieces✧ You must provide at least 2 sample pieces, preferably merch items, in your application✦ At least ONE of your samples must feature Kirishima or Bakugou✧ If you wish to create a print/poster, at least ONE sample must include a background
ART PORTFOLIOS
✧ Both SFW and NSFW pieces are allowed✦ All samples must be completed works! No sketches or WIPs please!✧ Artist Applications will be evaluated on elements such as anatomy, composition, color palette, style, and technical skill
COLLABORATION SPECIFICS
✧ Ideally, both written works in each section will have companion art✦ These collaborations can be a page illustration accompanying the fic and/or 2-3 spot illustrations placed throughout the fic✧ Spot Illustrations can range from "small scenes" involving one or more characters with background elements to "space fillers" of relevant, thematic objects with minimal to no background elements✦ Both of these spot illustration styles are allowed, though we ask that each Artist create at least one page of illustrations for their paired fic
